प्रत्येक वर्ष 1 मार्च को ‘विश्व नागरिक सुरक्षा दिवस’ (World Civil Defence Day) का आयोजन किया जाता है। इसका उद्देश्य नागरिक सुरक्षा के महत्व के प्रति लोगों को जागरूक करना और विभिन्न आपदाओं से हमें बचाते हुए शहीद हुए लोगों को सम्मान देना है। इस दिन उन सभी लोगों को श्रद्धांजलि दी जाती है, जिन्होंने आपदाओं के बीच, हमें बचाने में अपना योगदान दिया।
